Oreana turns the sod on Cornerstone, a 77-townhome project in Lara
Construction has officially commenced on Cornerstone, Oreana’s 77-townhome project at 9–13 Manzeene Avenue, Lara. The milestone was marked with a sod turning alongside project partners, signalling the start of on-the-ground works for one of Geelong’s fastest-growing communities.
Growth where it’s needed
Lara has become one of Victoria’s key growth corridors, and Cornerstone is designed to meet that demand directly. The project reflects The Oreana Way in practice: identifying where growth is happening, thinking long-term, and mobilising integrated teams to deliver the homes communities need, sooner rather than later.
What’s being delivered, and when
Cornerstone will bring 77 townhomes to Manzeene Avenue, with the first homes expected to be completed by the end of 2026 and the balance following in early 2027. The staged delivery is designed to bring housing to market progressively, easing pressure in a region where demand for new homes continues to outpace supply.
Built on partnership
Milestones like this don’t happen in isolation. Oreana thanks its key partners on the Cornerstone project, including the City of Greater Geelong, Winslow, Upco Urban Planning Collective, Keystone Alliance, TTM/Colliers and KD Engineering. Their collective input across planning, engineering and delivery underpins the relationships-first approach that sits at the heart of how Oreana works.
Real delivery, built to last
The sod turning at Manzeene Avenue is more than a ceremonial start – it’s proof of Oreana’s commitment to relationships first, working as one, and executing relentlessly to create value for everyone involved. As construction ramps up, Cornerstone stands as another example of Oreana helping bring much-needed housing to one of Victoria’s growing communities.
